DRDO ISSA Paid Internship 2026: A great opportunity awaits engineering and science students to gain hands-on experience in India’s prestigious defence research sector. The Institute for Systems Studies & Analyses (ISSA), a laboratory under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) located in New Delhi, has invited applications for its Paid Internship Scheme 2026-27.

A total of 25 internship positions are available for final-year B.Tech, M.Sc, and M.Tech students. Selected candidates will undergo a six-month internship program and receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000. During the internship, students will have the opportunity to work on real-world defence research projects and collaborate with experienced DRDO scientists. • Candidates should be maximum of 28 years age on date of written/interview (relaxable by five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates)

The process is refreshingly simple — no written exam, no interview.

3. Selected candidates are informed by email in the 2nd/3rd week of July 2026
4. At joining, you submit the original college referral letter, a police verification certificate, signed undertakings under the Indian Official Secrets Act 1923 and MoD IT Rules, your bank details, and originals of your marksheets, Aadhaar and college ID with 3 passport-size photographs

The application is by email only — no online portal, no hard copy. Keep scanned copies of these ready: filled application form (Annexure ‘A’ from the notification PDF), college reference letter (Annexure ‘B’), 10th and 12th marksheets, all semester marksheets, character certificate, brief bio-data, Aadhaar card and college ID card.
