Educational Qualification
Joint General Manager – Project Management Information System
Candidates should possess a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a Government-recognized Institute/University approved by AICTE/UGC. Post Graduation in a relevant field is desirable. The post requires substantial executive experience, including experience in PMIS, project planning and monitoring, progress reporting, cost and financial monitoring, risk and issue management, data analysis and information management. A minimum of 7 years of experience in ERP, SAP or other project management software packages is essential.
Joint General Manager – Rolling Stock
Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech in ECE/EEE from a Government-recognized Institute/University approved by AICTE/UGC. Experience in operations and maintenance of electric rolling stock, procurement/tendering, rolling stock design, testing, commissioning, depot machines and contract management is required.
Deputy General Manager – Finance & Accounts
Candidates should be a Graduate/Post Graduate with CA/CMA from a recognized Institute/University. The notification requires significant experience in finance and accounts functions, including financial statements, internal controls, risk assessment, vendor payments, budgeting, accounting and related activities.
Manager – Finance & Accounts

Assistant Manager – Design
Candidates should possess a B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering. M.E./M.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferable. Relevant experience in the design of viaducts, bridges, tunnels, Metro structures, underground/elevated stations and multi-storied buildings is required.
Assistant Manager – Transport Planning
Candidates should possess an M.E./M.Tech in Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering, Traffic Engineering or Urban Engineering from a Government-recognized Institute/University approved by AICTE/UGC.
Experience in large transportation infrastructure projects, mass transit systems such as Metro/LRT/BRTS, public transport planning, multimodal integration and related transportation studies is required. Experience with travel demand modelling software such as CUBE or VISSUM is desirable.
Age Limit
The maximum age varies according to the post:
- JGM – 43 Years
- DGM – 40 Years
- Manager – 38 Years
- Assistant Manager – 30 Years
The age, qualification and experience are to be considered as on 23 September 2026. CMRL also provides specified age concessions for eligible categories. The cumulative age relaxation cannot result in a maximum age exceeding 58 years as on the notification date.
Selection Process – CMRL Recruitment 2026
The CMRL recruitment selection process consists of a two-stage process:

- Medical Examination
