BHAVINI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI), a Government of India Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, has invited applications for engagement of Trade Apprentices at Kalpakkam, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu. The recruitment is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1991.

According to the official notification BHAVINI/HR/TA-V/2026–2027, a total of 50 Trade Apprentice vacancies are available. Interested and eligible candidates must complete the required apprenticeship portal registration and submit the prescribed application form along with supporting documents. The last date for receipt of applications is October 1, 2026.

BHAVINI has announced 50 Trade Apprentice positions across nine trades. The vacancy distribution is as follows:

The category-wise distribution includes SC/ST – 9 posts, OBC (NCL) – 13 posts, EWS – 5 posts and UR – 23 posts.

Educational Qualification BHAVINI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Candidates must have the required educational qualification and an ITI pass certificate in the relevant trade.

Fitter

Candidates should have passed Class 10 with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system or equivalent and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Fitter Trade.

Machinist

Candidates should have passed Class 10 with Science and Mathematics or equivalent and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Machinist Trade.

Digital Photographer/Photographer

Candidates should have passed Class 10 or equivalent, with the notification specifying the applicable Science qualification, and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Digital Photographer/Photographer Trade.

Maintenance Mechanic (Chemical Plant)/Fitter

Candidates should have passed Class 10 with Science and Mathematics or equivalent and possess an ITI certificate in Maintenance Mechanic (Chemical Plant) or Fitter Trade.

Computer Operator and Programming Assistant

Candidates should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant Trade.

Instrument Mechanic

Candidates should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Instrument Mechanic Trade.

Electrician

Candidates should have passed Class 10 with Science and Mathematics or equivalent and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Electrician Trade.

Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

Candidates should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Mechanic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade.

Draughtsman (Mechanical)

Candidates should have passed Class 10 with Science and Mathematics or equivalent and possess an ITI Pass Certificate in Draughtsman (Mechanical) Trade.

Age Limit BHAVINI Apprentice Recruitment 2026

The candidate’s age will be calculated as on October 1, 2026.

• Minimum age: 16 years
• Maximum age for General and EWS candidates: 24 years
• SC candidates: Up to 5 years relaxation
• OBC (NCL) candidates: Up to 3 years relaxation
• PWBD candidates: Up to 10 years relaxation

The qualification and age eligibility must be fulfilled as on October 1, 2026.

Training Location and Duration

Selected apprentices will undergo training at:

Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI)

Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu.

The duration of apprenticeship training is one year.

BHAVINI Apprentice Stipend 2026

The notification states that the minimum stipend is ₹9,600 for candidates engaged after completing a one-year ITI course.

Selection Process BHAVINI Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Candidates will be shortlisted for training based on the marks obtained in their ITI standard/course and trade competency.

Candidates found suitable may subsequently be called for Trade Test/Certificate Verification. Candidates called for these processes will have to bear the related expenses themselves.

How to Apply for BHAVINI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Eligible candidates should follow these steps:

Step 1: Register on Apprenticeship India Portal

Candidates must first register on the Apprenticeship India portal for enrolment as apprentices. Applications without the required registration and unique enrolment number will not be accepted.

Step 2: Complete Aadhaar Verification

Candidates must complete Aadhaar verification of their enrolment on the Apprenticeship India portal. A screenshot showing “AADHAR verified” must be attached with the application, and the Unique Enrolment ID must be mentioned in the application form.

Step 3: Download the Application Form

Download the prescribed Annexure-I Application Form from the BHAVINI website and ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements before applying.

Step 4: Fill and Prepare the Application

The application should preferably be typed on A4-size paper in the prescribed format. The envelope should be superscribed with:

“APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF TRADE APPRENTICE against Notice No. BHAVINI/HR/TA-V/2026–2027”.

Step 5: Attach Required Documents

Candidates should submit self-attested copies of the required documents, including:

• Educational qualification certificates/mark sheets
• ITI certificate and mark sheet
• Other qualification/experience certificates, if applicable
• Two original conduct certificates from Gazetted Officers or the concerned institution
• SC/ST/OBC (NCL) certificate, where applicable
• PwBD certificate, where applicable
• EWS certificate, where applicable
• Certificate of Identity for transgender candidates, where applicable
• Aadhaar Card
• Recent passport-size photograph

Important Conditions – BHAVINI Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Candidates should note the following conditions before applying:

• Only one application should be submitted.
• The apprenticeship training period is one year.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training, partially or fully, for one year or more in any discipline need not apply.
• Selected candidates must execute an Apprenticeship Contract before training begins.
• Apprentices who complete the training must undergo the prescribed proficiency test.
• Completion of apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment with BHAVINI.
• Preference will be given to candidates from villages neighboring the plant site, subject to valid local identity proof.
• Police Verification Certificate is mandatory before joining training after selection.
