3. Eligibility Criteria
- B.V.Sc., Degree. (now known as B.V.Sc & A.H) and
- Must have passed SSLC Examination or its equivalent examination with Tamil as one of the
- languages. Registered as Veterinary Practitioner with the Tamil Nadu State Veterinary Council Constituted under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (Central Act 52 of 1984)

4. Age Limit
- Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 32 years, on or before the last date of submission of application to the Commission i.e 01-07-2022

5. Selection Process
- As per the Supreme Court’s order in Civil Appeal No.4351 of 2016, the Temporary Government Veterinary Assistant Surgeons (Rule 10(a)(i) appointees) shall also compete with the open Candidates and the benefit of maximum age relaxation and weightage of marks depending on the experience at the rate of 5 marks for every year and is subjected to maximum of 50 marks (restricted to total marks in written examination) will be given to them.
