RBI withdraw RS2000 Notes: The Reserve Bank of India, chiefly known as RBI, is India’s central bank and regulatory body responsible for the regulation of the Indian banking system. It is under the ownership of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It is responsible for the control, issuing, and maintaining supply of the Indian rupee.
₹2000 Denomination Banknotes – Withdrawal from Circulation; Will continue as Legal Tender
RBI withdraw RS2000 Notes: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced the withdrawal of the Rs 2,000 denomination banknotes from circulation. However, the Rs 2,000 notes will continue to be legal tender. The RBI has asked banks to provide deposit and/or exchange facilities for Rs 2,000 notes until September 30, 2023.
