Introduction – Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana
Crop Insurance is an integrated IT solution and a web-based ecosystem to speed up service delivery, unify fragmented databases, achieve a single view of data, and eliminate manual processes. Crop Insurance provides insurance services to farmers faster than before. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is an effective initiative taken by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. This project paves the way for a farmer to get his crop insured and resolve queries and concerns with the help of the web portal. This portal allows various departments of the Government of India to disseminate information about various schemes and programs being run for
the benefit of the farmers.
Responsiblities & Authorities
Regional Rural Bank User is one of the prime users of the All India Crop Insurance portal. Regional Rural Bank User is the user in a particular branch and will be managed by the respective Rural bank branch head. Branch users may self-register themselves from the portal to log in, following which your respective branch head will approve their logins. Once approved, The main roles and responsibilities of a Bank Branch user are listed below –
a) To create Insurance Policy for farmers
b) To monitor portal-related reports
c) To submit transaction details of the premium transferred to insurance companies.

Introduction to user Hierarchy : (Regional Rural Bank User)
Hierarchy flow :
Rural bank HQ > Rural bank state admin > **Rural bank division admin > Branch admin > Branch user
• Each Rural bank will have Rural Bank HQ to register Rural bank state Admin for each state.
• Rural bank state admin will manage Branch admins of all the branches in the state.
• Branch admin will manage branch users in its branch for creating policies. Branch admin may create
policies from his/her login too.
Note: We are waiting for regional/administrative hierarchy from banks, following which region head users
will be created between state head and branch head. We request bankers to submit the regional masters
asap for accessing the functionality at the earliest.
